Комплекс зданий Академии наук Казахской ССР — это грандиозный архитектурный ансамбль, построенный в 1948-1953 годах. Генеральным проектировщиком комплекса стал выдающийся архитектор — корифей зодчества, фундаменталист, академик Алексей Викторович Щусев, автор многих замечательных сооружений, в частности Мавзолея Ленина в Москве. Руководителем рабочей группы из ведущих архитекторов-проектировщиков стал крупный специалист в этой области инженер А. И. Простаков. В архитектуре здания использованы классические мотивы и стилизованные элементы национального орнамента.
The complex of buildings of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR is a grandiose architectural ensemble built in 1948-1953. The general designer of the complex was an outstanding architect - a coryphaeus of architecture, a fundamentalist, academician Alexei Viktorovich Shchusev, the author of many remarkable structures, in particular the Lenin Mausoleum in Moscow. A prominent specialist in this field, engineer A. I. Prostakov, became the head of the working group of leading architects and designers. The architecture of the building uses classical motifs and stylized elements of the national ornament.
